Overview

The classic sailboats of Egypt's Nile are called feluccas. A pleasant felucca ride is popular with both Egyptians and visitors, since they are ideal for enjoying the breeze both during the day and at night.

Over the years, the felucca has continued to be the main transportation method on the Nile. As it has done since the reign of the Pharaohs, its old shape continues to adorn the river. Bulk cargo is transported by motorized barges, and visitors are transported by contemporary cruise ships, but the felucca is still in use. Rarely equipped with an engine, feluccas rely only on the Nile River's current and the daytime breeze, which increases throughout the day and often calms down at night. Sailboats may move upstream in Egypt's beautiful northerly breeze, which also allows them to return on its current downstream.

You will enjoy a special tour to Kom Ombo and Edfu Temples, Kom Ombo Temple which stands on a high ground overlooking the Nile and Edfu Temple which is dedicated to god Horus and it considered the best preserved temple in Egypt.
Enjoy this Felucca Tour to Kom Ombo & Edfu Temples.

Our Egyptologist tour guide will accompany you on the Felucca excursion and throughout your visits to the Kom Ombo and Edfu temples.
